St. Vincent de Paul Parish is organizing a special celebration of Divine Mercy Sunday, April 16, starting at 2pm at the Church (314 3rd St). We will begin with Adoration and Confession, followed by the Chaplet of Divine Mercy in song at 3pm. Father Valentine Amobi will make special remarks for the occasion, as well as be open to Q&A. We will conclude with Mass at 5pm. Neighbouring priests from around the deanery will be assisting with Reconciliation. Referring to Divine Mercy Sunday, Jesus told St. Faustina, "I desire that the Feast of Mercy be a refuge and shelter for all souls, and especially for poor sinners. The soul that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion shall obtain complete forgiveness of sins and punishment. On that day all the divine floodgates through which graces flow are opened."
